FDA approves nose-spray for depression

The Federal Drug Administration has approved an anti-depressant that contains the chemical ketamine, sometimes known as narcotic called “Special K.”
It will be solde as a nasal-spray called “Spravato.”
The drug is for patients who’ve tried at least two other anti-depressant without success, but can only be used in medical offices.
The FDA said, there is a need for medications to help treatment resistant depression, around 30 percent of patients say anti-depressant drugs are ineffective in treating their depression.
