Feeling like May instead of March today 3/1/2022

The first day of March will feel more like May! Temperatures already are mild this morning in the 30s and 40s with calm and dry conditions. Southeast Nebraska quickly warms into the mid-70s for highs by the afternoon with more dry and sunny weather. You also will notice a bit more of a breeze as you hopefully spend time outside today. This breeze will increase our concern for fire weather today. Please avoid the use of flames and keep an eye out for any fires as you head out and about today. We remain mild overnight with temperatures in the 30s and we will see one last warm day tomorrow with highs in the upper 70s. A cold front will cool us down to highs in the low 50s on Thursday, but temperatures quickly rebound back into the upper 60s on Friday. Late this week we also could see some much needed precipitation! Rain showers late Friday will persist into Saturday across eastern Nebraska. Northern Nebraska could even see some snow accumulation potentially on Sunday! We will have more information tomorrow on the chance for precipitation later this week.
