Few more pop-up storms possible Wednesday
While most of us have been dry this week, one of our “better” chances to be caught under a quick shower/storm will be this afternoon and evening. But not everyone is expected to see rain from this round either.
Other than that chance that flares with the heating of the day, we’ll be slightly warmer and back to the 90s for some.
Here’s a look into what Stormcast is showing just after about 3 p.m. later today. Some showers and storms are expected to try to linger into the evening hours, fizzling out by the time the sun goes down.
With any storm that tries to organize later today, we could see up to 60 mph winds and quarter-sized hail with borderline severe potential and a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk in place.
The humidity will start to creep back in by the end of the week and in time for a hot weekend.
Forecast highs for Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 90s and lower 100s with it feeling several degrees warmer as the humidity rises. Especially on Sunday and Monday, heat index values could be in the 105 – 110° range as the hottest days.
This heat wave will last into Tuesday until we face cooler temperatures by midweek.
