Finally above 50°; Weekend warm-up still expected

We did it!  Lincoln finally hit 50° Thursday afternoon.  Not only did we hit 50°, the capital city made it all the way up to 59°.  This is the first time the city has reached 50° in five days, and this is just the beginning.

Afternoons’ this weekend will feel more like early October than early November.  Mostly sunny skies, winds out of the south, will produce afternoon temperatures around 70° both days.  It should be really nice to get outside both Saturday and Sunday.

Friday morning we will likely be greeted by low clouds and temperatures in the upper 30°s to lower 40°s.  By late morning the clouds should lift and skies should turn sunny.  It will be well above normal Friday with highs in the 60°s.

Winds will increase through the day.  South-southwesterly winds sustained 10-18 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
