Authorities say a fire at a Lincoln motel is being investigated as arson. 

Authorities say a fire at a Lincoln motel is being investigated as arson.

Crews responded around 5 a.m. to the Americas Best Value Inn at 3001 NW 12th St. on reports of a fire in a first-floor room.

The fire was confined to the room and quickly extinguished. It caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.

Lincoln police said officers received conflicting information from people at the motel.

The investigation is ongoing.
