Fire breaks out at home in Lincoln’s Capitol Beach neighborhood

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters responded to a blaze at a home in west Lincoln on Christmas Day.

The fire was reported about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday near Northwest 16th and West S streets in the Capitol Beach neighborhood.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene saw smoke coming from the roof.

By 11 p.m., the fire appeared to be out.

It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze or how much damage it caused.
