Fire burns two garages in northwest Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – At least one garage was destroyed in a fire in northwest Lincoln on Sunday.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to the blaze near 12th and Adams Streets shortly before 5 p.m.
Crews arrived to find two garages on fire, according to acting Battalion Chief Andrew Evans.
The fire was knocked down in about five minutes, he said, but crews were still dousing hot spots for at least another hour.
Evans said firefighters were focused on keeping the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
One of the garages was destroyed, and the other may also be a total loss, LFR said.
There were “one or two burned up cars,” Evans said, and one house sustained heat damage.
No one was injured, and the cause is yet to be determined.
