Fire caused $35,000 in damage to south Lincoln apartment, LFR says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several LFR crews battled a fire Monday morning at a south Lincoln apartment building.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to the apartment near 10th Street and Harrison Avenue around 8:30 a.m.

LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said the fire was extinguished quickly as crews were already in the area on their way to training.

The fire caused an estimated $35,000 in damage to an apartment unit and its contents.

A user on the NOW Local News App shared a video that showed an LFR engine at the scene.

The cause is under investigation.
