LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKKN) — A house was damaged in a fire early Saturday morning in northeast Lincoln.
Crews responded shortly before 12:30 a.m. to a home near 56th and Knox streets, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.
Firefighters found heavy flames on arrival, Battalion Chief Jim Bopp said.
He said crews got the blaze under control in about 20 minutes.
A Channel 8 reporter saw burn marks on the front of the house, and siding was melted off on the side.
Bopp said the home’s residents and their pet made it out safely, but they will be displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
