Fire in south Lincoln forced two people to temporarily relocate

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to a fire near 14th and D Streets on Sunday just before 5 p.m.

According to Battalion Chief Aaron Pospistil, the fire started outside the home with leaves and grass outside but eventually spread to the home.

The fire was found in a crawl space in the basement.

Two people were evacuated from the home without injuries but had to be relocated.

LFR said the home is uninhabitable due to electrical issues. The cause of the fire is unknown.
