Attic fire extinguished at downtown Lincoln apartment building

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters put out a blaze Tuesday night at a downtown Lincoln apartment building.
The fire was reported just before 9:30 p.m. near 17th and G streets, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.
Crews found a fire in the attic, Battalion Chief Jeremy Gegg said.

The building has 10 apartments, and everyone was evacuated, Gegg said. No one was injured.
Gegg said the fire may have been electrical, but the inspector hasn’t confirmed that yet.
Crews from Lincoln Electric System were inspecting power lines into the building.
First responders shut down 17th from G to H streets.
