Fireworks to blame for apartment fire in Lincoln

Fireworks are to blame for an apartment fire late Wednesday night. 

Lincoln Fire and Rescue say firework debris on the porch of one unit ignited-sparking a blaze near 26th and C at around 10:30 p.m.

The fire was put out quickly before spreading to other units, but the buildings were evacuated. 

No one was injured in the fire.

It caused about $5,000 in damage–residents are not being allowed to stay there this morning.
