First baby giraffe born at Lincoln Children’s Zoo

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A baby giraffe was born at Lincoln Children’s Zoo on Jan. 29, the first in the zoo’s history.
Mosi (MOH-see), a female reticulated giraffe, is the newest addition to the herd. Her name means “the first” in Swahili.
Born to mom Zawadi, Mosi stood within the first hour of birth, measuring 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 130 pounds.
Within the month, she has grown, now measuring 6 feet, 2 inches and weighing about 150 pounds.
Going to stick my neck out and say Lincoln Children’s Zoo just set a new record for tallest baby ever born in #LNK. Welcome, Mosi! 💛🦒 pic.twitter.com/aKJF87okln
