First COVID-19 death reported in Fillmore County

From May 27 to June 2,  a total of 294 test results were received with 24 of those results being positive, representing an 8% positivity rate for the reporting period.

Public Health Solutions has reported the following new COVID-19 cases in their district.

  • Gage County: 1 (45 total)
  • Saline County: 28 (506 total)
  • Jefferson County: 1 (7 total)
  • Fillmore County: 2 (7 total)
  • Thayer County:  1

Total cumulative cases for the PHS district stand at 566.

From May 27 to June 2,  a total of 294 test results were received with 24 of those results being positive, representing an 8% positivity rate for the reporting period.

PHS also reported the first COVID-19 related death from Fillmore County. A male, in his 70s, was hospitalized for a non-COVID-19 related medical condition and tested positive for the virus May 8 while in the hospital. The individual passed away at a healthcare facility in Lincoln on May 21.
