In southeast Nebraska, we’re expecting a possible wintry mix by the afternoon, with chances into the evening. That will taper off before all should transition mostly to snow. Many models hinting at a second band of snow through southeast Nebraska, that could locally bring totals up a bit higher.

The latest snowfall potential can be found below. A heavier band of snow looks to set up in northern Nebraska by Saturday morning, where totals are largely expected to be around 2-4″. In southeast Nebraska, the rain/snow/sleet mix that is possible first will limit totals in the end. But by Sunday morning, a second band across southeast Nebraska could push totals a bit past one inch in spots south of I-80.

Thankfully, we will warm up again next week slowly but surely. It’s looking like the fall feels could come back by early November.
