First grocery store in Haymarket now open

The Haymarket’s first grocery store has been completed.

Jill Moline the owner said, "It has been like a 19 month process, at the end it was very bust but we made it all happen and we’re still going to be trying new things and getting new things in."

The Canopy Street Market is located at 140 S. Canopy Street.

It’s now finished and as you can see has anything you need out of a grocery store.

An apartment complex is currently being built above the grocery store.

Which should be open in the next couple months.

The owner says this will help them become a cornerstone in Lincoln.

"We hope to grow hope to just make this a little great community grocery store that services a unique part of Lincoln,” said Moline.

The plan is to be full service within the next month, which would include online ordering services.
