LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two vehicles collided in west Lincoln Saturday night.

First responders were called to the crash near S Folsom and W Stockwell streets just before 6:30 p.m.

A Channel 8 employee at the scene said there was black SUV and a silver sedan with significant damage.

The Lincoln Police Department said a car that was traveling north was struck while turning into a driveway.

There was one driver in each car, according to LPD, and they were both transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue said it took them 15 minutes to cut the roof off of the black SUV and rescue the driver.

LPD said both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Police have blocked off both lanes on Folsom Street as they investigate.
