Motorcyclist in critical condition after south Lincoln crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people were injured Thursday evening in a crash in south Lincoln, police say.
The crash happened about 5:30 p.m. at 33rd Street and Nebraska Parkway.
The Lincoln Police Department said a motorcycle was heading east on Nebraska Parkway and hit a minivan that was turning onto southbound 33rd.
Police said the motorcyclist and the driver of the van were taken to a hospital.
The motorcyclist is in critical condition, according to police.
A Channel 8 employee saw paramedics performing CPR on someone, and the motorcycle had heavy damage.
Eastbound Nebraska Parkway was closed from 27th to 33rd Street, police said. Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane.
Police said just after 9 p.m. that all lanes were reopen.
