Flames damage garage in Lincoln

Lincoln, Neb. (KLKN)- Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to battle flames near a Lincoln home Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived at the home near North 68th and Vine Streets shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Several crews were on the scene and worked to extinguish the flames. Lincoln Fire and Rescue said that the fire started in a pit near the garage and then spread.

Damage was contained to the detached garage next to a house.

LFR said that there was some smoke damage in the home. Two people were home at the time and were not injured.
