Flooding impacting Nebraska alcohol retailers

Alcohol retailers in Nebraska who were hoping to salvage their stocked alcohol that was touched by alcohol are out of luck.
The Nebraska Liquor Control Commission ordered Monday that stores must destroy any alcohol containers that came into contact with the waters.
They can claim losses through their personal insurance, but it won’t be covered by the state.
The commission says the standing water can contaminate alcohol and food making it unsafe to drink.
This order is out of concern for public health.
