Following first 90° day in Lincoln this year, comfortable and cooler Tuesday
Temperatures got UP THERE yesterday afternoon. Lincoln climbed to 90 for the first time in 2025.
On average, the first 90-degree day of the year comes closer to early May. The earliest we’ve ever hit 90 in Lincoln is mid-March.
Compared to last year though, it was a LOT earlier in the calendar year.
We now transition to a much cooler second day of the work week.
The best thing about the forecast for Tuesday is we get the winds to back off throughout the day. Gusts will decrease to under about 15 mph after the early part of the afternoon.
Rain chances increase again by Wednesday morning, lingering into the afternoon and evening hours.
Here’s what our latest version of Stormcast was showing for rain moving into southeast Nebraska on Wednesday, turning to be spotty by the later afternoon and evening.
Some thunderstorms will be possible, but the threat for severe weather isn’t there.
