Food Bank of Lincoln celebrating 40 years

An estimated 1 in 7 kids in Southeast Nebraska is food insecure.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- The Food Bank of Lincoln has been alleviating hunger in Southeast Nebraska for 40 years. According to a press release, the food bank has provided more than 146 million meals in the organization’s history, including more than 9 million total meals last year.

This school year, Food Bank of Lincoln’s Child Hunger Programs will serve more than 100 schools in Southeast Nebraska:

  • BackPack Program
  • School Food Markets
  • LPS Emergency Pantry
  • Student-Parent Voucher Program
