Food Bank of Lincoln temporarily changes distribution site
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Food Bank of Lincoln will move the location where it distributes food on Fridays due to road construction.
The distribution on the first and third Fridays is the largest the food bank does, averaging 900 to 1,000 cars.
Road construction will be taking place right in front of the food bank, so it’s temporarily moving the distribution.
The new location is Northwest High School.
The food bank will hand out food in the front and back parking lots of Union Bank & Trust Stadium.
“We want to make sure that rather than just canceling the distribution, that we’re available and that we are a resource to our neighbors,” chief operating officer Tiffany Murray said.
This will be the distribution location until school starts back up, and the food bank is hoping the road construction will be done by then.
