A Lincoln non-profit foundation hosted a super special event Sunday.

The Forever Angels Carnival, put on by the Forever Angels Foundation was held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lincoln Christian School. It’s the group’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Superheroes like Batman, Superman, and the Star Wars gang, came out to raise awareness and show support for children suffering from illness.

"We’ve had family after family that said it’s really meant a lot to them, and they say yes the financial aspect is great. But the support the community shows when they don’t even know these families half the time, to come out and help them is great," said Forever Angels Founder Jaime Sanks.
