LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Creston woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from her former employer.

The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were investigating a theft from a local business involving a former employee.

Deputies later learned that 28-year-old Elizabeth Claren falsified business deposits and pocketed the cash.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Claren on suspicion of felony theft.  She is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
