LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Former Nebraska LHP Kyle Perry signed a contract with the Savannah Bananas on Thursday.

The Banana’s announced the signing in a post on X:

Perry pitched at Nebraska for six seasons, finishing his career with a 7-6 record in 18 starts, totaling a 5.64 ERA

He also tallied 120 strikeouts compared to only 48 walks.

Perry also shouted out Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen, hoping to bring Banana Ball to Memorial Stadium:

Banana Ball is a fast-paced, entertaining version of baseball that combines the actual game of baseball and circus stunts.

The game is designed to keep fans engaged with a variety of unique rules, choreography and fan interaction, similar to the Harlem Globetrotters.
