Former Husker Merritt Beason signs with Omaha Supernovas
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Former Husker volleyball star Merritt Beason is returning to Nebraska to continue her professional career.
On Wednesday night, the Omaha Supernovas announced on X that Beason had signed with the program.

It came just one day after former Nebraska coach John Cook was named part owner and general manager of the Supernovas.

Last year, in her final season with the Huskers, Beason racked up 30 aces and averaged 2.78 kills per set.
She made the All-Big Ten First Team in both 2023 and 2024.
The Atlanta Vibe picked her first in the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation draft.
