Former Husker named to Australia training camp roster

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Former Husker men’s basketball player Jack McVeigh was selected as one of 17 players to Australia’s Olympic training camp roster.
McVeigh played at Nebraska from 2016 to 2018 and has played professionally in Australia and Germany since turning pro following the 2018 season.
His 2023-24 season ended with an MVP performance in the NBL finals with the Tasmania JackJumpers.

After training camp ends in late June, Australia will play four exhibition games heading into the 2024 Olympics.
One of those games will be against the United States on July 15.
McVeigh has been a part of the Australian national program since making his debut in 2019.
His most recent appearance came in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifier in 2023, when he averaged 10.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
