LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Former Husker Nicklin Hames is returning to Knoxville, Tennessee, to lead the volleyball program at her alma mater.

The Webb School of Knoxville announced that Hames — who graduated from the school in 2018 — is the new volleyball coach.

Hames has a decorated career with the Spartans.  She started playing for the school’s varsity team as an eighth grader and led them to five state championships.

PrepVolleyball.com ranked her as the No. 4 overall prospect in the country.

And this won’t be Hames’ first foray into coaching.  She spent five seasons with the Huskers as a setter before becoming a graduate assistant at Nebraska.

Hames then went on to serve as a director at K2 Volleyball, a club team in Louisville, Tennessee.

“We couldn’t be more excited about Coach Hames re-joining the Webb community and the impact she will have on the girls in our volleyball program,” the school said in a post on X.
