A former Lincoln High School coach was sentenced for child abuse.

34-year-old Marcus Perry was found guilty of child abuse after he had contact with a 17-year-old girl in a classroom.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, most of which he’s already served. He’ll also have 18 months of post-release supervision and have to register on the sex offenders registry for 25 years.

Perry was head coach for the girl’s basketball coach and served as an in-school suspension teacher at the time of the abuse.
