Former Lincoln TV reporter sentenced to prison

A former Lincoln television reporter has been sentenced to prison. 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A former Lincoln television reporter has been sentenced to prison.

Court records show Zachery Worthington was sentenced to three years behind bars.

He was also given 18 months probation and must register as a sex offender.

Worthington was accused by a woman he had been in a dating relationship with of sexual assault.

He pleaded no contest to attempted second-degree sexual assault in a deal with prosecutors.

Worthington was formerly employed by KLKN-TV.
