Former Nebraska trooper sentenced for sexual assault of 13-year-old girl

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A former Nebraska State Patrol trooper was sentenced Monday for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old Bellevue girl.

In a press release, the Office of the Sarpy County Attorney says 25-year-old Brandon Dolezol was sentenced to up to 40 years in prison for first-degree sexual assault.

Dolezol was arrested in July and later pled no contest to the felony charge, according to the press release.

“It would not have been possible to prosecute this case without the courage of the victim to come forward and the investigation by the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office,” said Bonnie Moore, chief deputy Sarpy County Attorney, in a press release. “Dolezal is a predator, and this sentence is representative of his pattern of behavior and likelihood to reoffend.”

In Scotts Bluff County, Dolezol is currently awaiting sentencing on two counts of attempted child enticement and four counts of possession of child pornography.

Dolezol is also facing charges out of Douglas County, including six counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, the county attorney’s office said.
