Former Tabitha employee spent thousands using work credit card, police say

A former Tabitha Health executive assistant was arrested for theft after allegedly using a company credit card to spend thousands of dollars for personal use.
In October of 2018, Tabitha President and CEO Christina Hinrichs reported a theft from the organization. Hinrichs told authorities she had discovered her former assistant, identified by police as Kerry Paup, 43, had been using a work credit card for personal purchases.
Police said Paup used the card to make approximately 30 unauthorized transactions valued at nearly $5,000. Paup also deposited a Tabitha reimbursement check into her personal bank account, according to court documents.
Paup, who was arrested Thursday for theft, admitted to misusing the card, according to court documents.
A judge set bond for Paup at $2,500. She is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
