Founding city holds weekend-long Arbor Day celebration
NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. (KLKN) — The home of Arbor Day is celebrating the holiday with a weekend full of activities.
Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City is hosting an ‘Arbor Day Weekend Celebration’ which includes:
- The Tree Adventure
- Free admission at the Arbor Lodge Mansion
- The Farm & Forest Dinner at the Steinhart Lodge
- The Junior Arborist Program

The first Arbor Day was celebrated in April of 1872, according to the Arbor Day Foundation.
