Four boys arrested in deadly shooting of 64-year-old in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Four boys were arrested in a deadly shooting earlier this week in Omaha, police said Thursday.
The Omaha Police Department said the boys, between ages 11 and 17, were charged with criminal homicide, three counts of using a weapon to commit a felony and two counts of robbery.
Around midnight Wednesday, officers were sent to a home near North 90th and Maple streets.
When officers arrived, they learned a shooting had happened, and the victim — 64-year-old Mursal Jama — was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
About an hour later, several authorities were chasing a Kia that had been stolen during the homicide, according to police.
The vehicle crashed near 46th and I streets, and four boys ran away. They were all eventually taken into custody, police said.
The boys were questioned at OPD’s central headquarters before being booked in the Douglas County Youth Center.
An investigation is ongoing.
