Four children injured in southeast Nebraska UTV crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities announced Tuesday that four children were injured in a UTV crash in southeast Nebraska.

The crash happened about 11 a.m. Sunday at Highway 128 and County Road 38 near Syracuse, according to the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office.

A UTV hit a pickup truck in the intersection, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies provided medical aid and lifesaving measures to four minor occupants of the UTV, the sheriff’s office said.

One of the children was flown immediately to Bryan Health in Lincoln.

The other three were taken to a hospital in Syracuse, then transferred to Bryan Health with serious injuries.

Authorities said the driver of the pickup, a 41-year-old Nebraska City man, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
