Four teens caught with beer after joyride in stolen car near Lincoln, deputy says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Four teens were caught Monday morning in a stolen vehicle southwest of Lincoln, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.
Around 3:30 a.m., a deputy pulled over a car that was speeding near South Coddington Avenue and West Denton Road.
Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said a 15-year-old boy and three girls were inside the vehicle, which had been reported stolen from a Lincoln home on Sunday.
All four teens were taken into custody, and deputies found several beer bottles in the car, according to Houchin.
The teens were cited on suspicion of possessing alcohol and stolen property.
Houchin said the 15-year-old boy was also cited on suspicion of driving improperly on a learner’s permit.
