Four thieves took $2,000 in shoes from Grand Island home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A quartet of thieves broke into a Grand Island home Sunday and ran off with several pairs of tennis shoes, police say.

The Grand Island Police Department said the theft was reported around 1:15 a.m. at a home near Adams Street and Fonner Park Road.

Two women and two teens stole about $2,000 worth of shoes from the home, according to police.

The victim was able to identify the thieves, and they were taken into custody, police said.

The women were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

One girl was cited and released to her parents, and the other teen was taken to a juvenile detention center.
