Freezing rain/drizzle through tonight into Saturday morning
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 9AM Saturday for most of the eastern half of Nebraska.
Freezing rain and ice accumulations ranging from a light glaze up to a tenth of an inch is possible in central Nebraska. Up to two tenths of an inch of ice is possible in eastern Nebraska.
The highest ice accumulations (up to 0.2″) are expected along and north of I-80 through Saturday morning.
Precipitation begins as light freezing rain over southeast NE around 3-4PM. Freezing rain reaches Omaha Metro 5-6 PM. By 7 PM freezing rain and sleet will overspread the entire region. Saturday morning, southeast Nebraska could see freezing rain/rain with some thunder. By lunch time Saturday, we look to dry out and warm up slightly.
