Mostly cloudy skies for the rest of our Friday with temperatures dropping to the middle 30s by 8 p.m. A few flurries cannot be ruled out as we close out the work week.

Potential for accumulating snowfall tonight is minimal and will be confined to far southeastern Nebraska.

Our focus shifts to north-central and northeast Nebraska with a quick hitting system dropping south across the state on Saturday.

Chilly, yet above average tonight in southeast Nebraska. Overnight lows will reach the lower to middle 20s.

A brief period of gradual clearing later tonight in Lincoln will allow temperatures to drop into the lower 20s.

High temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s across southeast Nebraska for Saturday.

A stray flurry or two is possible on Saturday as temperatures only reach the upper 30s. Winds out of the north will pick up throughout the afternoon, gusting to 30 miles per hour.

Temperatures will gradually warm up as we head into next week with temperatures peaking in the 50s. Our next system looks to pass through early next week with a chance of precipitation coming with the latest surge of colder air. Temperatures in the 40s will close out next week.
