Friday is National Junk Food Day!

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — You can enjoy a cheat day free from guilt this Friday.

Chips, cookies, and everything in between became a staple in the U.S. after the World War II, when prepackaged foods grew in popularity.

Sometime later in the 70s the term ‘junk food’ was coined.
