From record lows to near-record highs by the weekend

Although we had to go through another frigid morning on Wednesday, temperatures are trending in a warmer direction starting in the afternoon. High temperatures will rise into the 60s for most – near 62° in Lincoln. The warmer air arrives from west to east, meaning that middle and upper-60s are a good possibility near the Tri-Cities.

Wednesday Forecast

We expect mostly sunny skies on Wednesday, with a few waves of high clouds drifting in from the north. Dew points will also steadily climb through the day. The addition of some moisture to the air over the next few days will provide some relief for anyone with dry skin.

Dew Point Forecast

The coming days will feature even warmer temperatures. Highs return to the 70s on Thursday and Friday. We’ll return to the 80s over the weekend.

In fact, we may be nearing record highs on Sunday. If we are successful in breaking Lincoln’s record high of 84° on Sunday, that would mean we would break a record low and high all within a week!
