Game of the Week Preview: Lincoln Lutheran vs. Lincoln Christian

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The showdown for the Spirit Sword gets underway Friday night under the lights in southeast Lincoln.

Lincoln Lutheran and Lincoln Christian are gearing up for the annual matchup, which kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Crusaders’ field.

Lincoln Lutheran coach Sean Wieting and Lincoln Christian coach Kurt Earl stopped by Channel 8 to sit down with Andrew Ward.

The coaches discussed the rivalry game and the importance of the Spirit Sword.

In the lead-up to week one of high school football, Channel 8’s Nate Johnson and Jake Homan previewed both the Warriors and Crusaders.

It wouldn’t be a high school football Friday without the sights and sounds of the band and color guard.
