Garage destroyed in central Lincoln fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Sunday morning fire destroyed a garage in central Lincoln.

Crews were sent to a detached garage near 27th and F streets about 11:40 a.m. and found it engulfed in flames, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.

The fire was spreading to two houses, Battalion Chief Aaron Pospisil said.

Firefighters “were able to save” the houses, he said, but the garage is a total loss.

The residents of one of the homes are displaced, LFR said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, and the cost of the damage is not yet known.
