Gas Leak at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo

At the Lincoln Children’s Zoo today there was a little bit of gas scare, as an excavator backed up and hit a gas line.
That new gas line was inside of the construction site at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
After it was hit, it caused a little bit of damage which then caused the scare.

"Construction here working on the addition to the zoo, I believe it’s the Giraffe Complex and they accidentally hit a new has line that feeds the building," said Battalion Chief Jim Bopp. 

There was no one inside the Zoo that could have been affected so the Zoo did not have to be evacuated.
