Georgia woman, Texas man identified in deadly domestic shooting in Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a deadly shooting in eastern Nebraska is the result of domestic violence.
In a press release on Monday, authorities said 24-year-old Billie Meadows of Georgia died at Nebraska Medicine from multiple gunshot wounds. Bryan Jeselink, 39, of Texas was arrested.
Just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a crash in the area of Highway 30 and County Road 5.
When they got there, they found Meadows covered in blood in a nearby field.

According to the sheriff’s office, Jeselink and Meadows had been in a relationship for over a year.
Both had moved to the Columbus area two weeks ago for work-related purposes.
“We are working diligently to gather all facts and ensure the individual responsible is held accountable,” Sheriff Dustin Weitzel said in a press release. “We appreciate the public’s patience and support as this investigation moves forward.”
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area to come forward.
