GoFundMe set up for Lincoln man killed in I-80 crash

An online fundraiser has been set up to help the family of a Lincoln man killed in a crash on I-80 pay for funeral expenses.

The Nebraska State Patrol identified the man as 24-year-old Travis Egan.

The patrol says Egan was driving west Monday morning when his car crossed the median near the Greenwood exit and rolled.

He was thrown from the car and struck by an eastbound sport utility vehicle.

Egan was pronounced dead at the scene.

A GoFundMe page set up by Egan’s brother, Nick, had raised over $3,300 as of Wednesday afternoon.

“We would like to bury Kyle and Travis together but it is not cheap. Anything helps. Thank you,” Nick Egan wrote on the page.

Egan’s family told Channel 8 Eyewitness News a funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Roper and Sons Funeral Home south location.
