Going back to the 90s this week
Some areas of far eastern Nebraska dealt with a few hours of patchy fog Monday morning. Sunny skies will be the rule for late morning and the afternoon. It should be a nice day with temperatures near seasonal normal levels with highs in the middle to upper 80°s.
Clear skies tonight will allow temperatures to drop back in to the upper 50°s to lower 60°s Tuesday morning. Just a touch warmer than temperatures Monday morning. It will be another night to open your windows and turn off the air conditioner.
You’ll want to make sure you close the windows before going to work Tuesday. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies Tuesday will warm to around 90° during the afternoon. Tuesday will be Lincoln’s 48th day to reach 90° this year.
Another 90° day will occur Wednesday as it should be a few degrees warmer than Tuesday.
If you are searching for rain, focus on the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms look to be possible both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday also looks to be very humid with dew point temperatures in the upper 60°s to near 70°.
