Golf fundraiser held for Charlie Wilson Home

Dozens of golfers teed up this morning at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course in Lincoln to raise money for the Charlie Wilson House.

This is the third year the tournament has been held.

The Charlie Wilson House is a place for young men who are confined to a wheelchair to live independently.

Patty Wilson raised money to build the home for her son Charlie who has Cerebral Palsy.

“I just wanted my son to be as independent and feel as independent as he could and I realized there had to be other boys that needed that also even though they were confined to a wheel chair,” Wilson said.

All the money raised from the tournament helps pay for upkeep on the home as well as caretakers for the men.
