Good Samaritan threatened with knife after trying to return money

Lincoln Police say a good samaritan was threatened at knife point after they tried to return money they found.

According to officials three people were in line at the Alnoor Market on South 11th Street near B Street Friday afternoon around 3:30 when one person dropped a twenty dollar bill.

The customer behind tried to pick up the money and return it to it’s rightful owner when a third man ripped the money out of the good samaritans hands.

The good samaritan tried to get the money back and police say that’s when 24-year-old Christopher Royal pulled out a knife, threatened the person, then fled.

Royal was contacted a short time later by police and arrested.
